Cem Tanrikut of Revalyze

Entrepreneurial Story

Cem Tanrikut never understood why so many online sellers guessed their prices when their entire business depended on getting them right. That frustration pushed him to build Revalyze, an AI-powered platform that helps e-commerce sellers finally see pricing with clarity instead of instinct. What started as a simple curiosity became a mission to turn data into decisions and give online businesses the advantage they never knew they were missing.
The name Revalyze blends “revalue” and “analyze,” and it’s exactly what the platform does. It tracks competitors, monitors market movements and predicts the smartest prices for sellers. “My goal was simple,” Cem says. “To help sellers make smarter pricing decisions without the guesswork.”
He didn’t sit down with a perfect plan. The idea grew naturally, almost silently. Cem has always been fascinated by how pricing shapes online success. Through different e-commerce projects, he kept noticing the same thing: people worked hard, but their pricing didn’t. “I realized there was a huge gap,” he explains. “Many sellers had no reliable way to track or optimize their prices. That’s when I decided to build a smart system that makes pricing data-driven, not emotional.”
A system that could think, so sellers don’t have to guess.
Ask Cem when he became an entrepreneur and he’ll shrug. “I’ve always had the mindset of building things from scratch,” he says. “One day I realized I was already acting like an entrepreneur, so I decided to make it official.” No dramatic leap. No burning bridges. Just a natural progression for someone who builds by instinct.
Cem personally funded the early stages of Revalyze. Not out of luxury, but out of ownership. “Every decision was made carefully,” he says. “From choosing the tech stack to shaping the brand.” He doesn’t talk about mistakes; he talks about iterations that sharpened the product. Refinements that make Revalyze better every week.
Entrepreneurship looks glamorous from the outside. Cem laughs at that idea. “It’s thrilling and humbling,” he says. “You get to shape something that didn’t exist before, but you also face constant uncertainty.”
And then there are the nights. The 2 AM ones. “When you’re passionate about what you’re building, it doesn’t switch off at six,” he says. “Sometimes a new idea hits me and I just get up, open my laptop, and start working.” It’s not chaos, it’s flow. The kind founders rarely admit out loud.
Starting a company in a new country adds its own layer of uncertainty. “I wanted something professional but still flexible,” Cem says. After researching different options and speaking with founders, he chose a B.V. through Firm24. “They made the process incredibly smooth,” he says. “And I could focus on actually building instead of paperwork.”
Every founder worries about the wrong legal setup. Cem just removed that worry early and moved forward.
“They made the process incredibly smooth, and I could focus on actually building instead of paperwork.”
Competition doesn’t scare him. “It’s a good sign,” he says. “It means the market is real.”
But Revalyze doesn’t try to out-compete by adding more features or more dashboards. Cem sees complexity as his competitors’ biggest weakness. “Most competitors focus on complex dashboards or raw data,” he says. “We focus on clarity and action. Revalyze doesn’t just show prices; it explains why they change and what to do next.”
Simplicity, in his hands, becomes a strategy.
Users stay because the product works, not because contracts force them to. “We don’t aim to lock customers in with contracts,” Cem says. “We aim to keep them because they want to stay.”
Revalyze evolves based on direct user feedback. Features change, new insights are added and ideas from real sellers shape the roadmap. When users see their problems solved faster than they can describe them, trust becomes automatic.
The ambition is clear. “My goal is to make Revalyze the go-to platform for AI-powered pricing and market intelligence in Europe,” Cem explains. The product is expanding with stronger predictive models and integrations with major e-commerce platforms.
Long term, he sees Revalyze becoming a full decision-making assistant for online sellers, something that guides every pricing choice with confidence instead of emotion.
Will he start more companies? “Probably,” he says. “Building things that didn’t exist before is part of who I am.” But right now, Revalyze gets all his focus.
"We aim to keep customers because they want to stay."
“Start before you feel ready. Talk to users. Build something small, test it, learn fast, and keep moving. Most people overthink and under-execute; do the opposite. And enjoy the process.”
